Self-drive Stays with Rental Car

Your Arctic adventure begins the moment you arrive in Lapland! We are excited to offer a package where you decide when and what to explore beyond the Arctic Circle. In partnership with Europcar, we are including a complimentary rental car for stays of 3 nights or more during spring and autumn 2026. Your rental car can be conveniently picked up and returned at Kittilä Airport (30 km from NLR), Rovaniemi Airport (190 km from NLR) or Ivalo Airport (220 km from NLR).

Booking conditions for this offer:

• This offer is valid for stays of at least 3 nights at Northern Lights Ranch from from 24 March to 15 April 2026 and from 1 September to 15 November 2026 . Bookings must be made directly through our website at www.theranch.fi. To take advantage of the offer, you must then add the code CAR in the “Add promotional code” column along with the dates of your planned visit with us.
• The offer cannot be booked through other booking platforms or via our sales team and is available only for individual bookings of 1-4 cabins. The offer cannot be combined with possible other offers which would provide discounts on our accommodation.
• All rental cars come with automatic transmission and the car category is allocated to you based on your selected cabin type as follows:
  • Sky View Cabin Standard, Superior, and Deluxe: Europcar Economy
  • Sky View Cabin Deluxe Plus, Ultimate, and Double: Europcar Compact/Intermediate
• If you have booked yourself a 3-night stay and there would be more than 72 hours between the pick-up and drop-off time of the rental car, then an additional charge of 75 € (Economy) and 80 € (Compact/intermediate) will be charged. To clarify, one night is regarded as 24 hours of car rental time for each booking from the pick-up until the drop-off time.
• You may pick up and drop off your rental car at any of the three airports: Kittilä, Rovaniemi, or Ivalo. However, the pick-up and drop-off location must be the same for both directions. If you prefer to return the car to a different airport, a surcharge of 150 € will apply.
• Additional costs such as fuel, parking fees, etc., are the guest’s responsibility. Guests must always commit to apply to all the prevailing rental conditions and terms set by Europcar. Guests are also liable for any damages to the car, with all such matters to be handled directly between the guest and Europcar.

• Please also note that the complimentary car rental offer is valid only for the nights you spend at Northern Lights Ranch. If you plan to stay at other locations in Lapland before or after your visit with us and wish to extend your car rental for that period as well, then the rental car can be offered for an additional charge as follows:
  • Europcar Economy 75 €/day (24 hours)
  • Europcar Compact/Intermediate 80 €/day (24 hours)
• Please add the possible additional days as a separate request when making the booking in the “Special requests” section.

How to book:

1. Visit www.theranch.fi and click on “Book now.”
2. Enter your preferred dates and the number of guests.
3. Enter the code: CAR in the “Add promotional code” column..
4. Complete the booking process and payment.
5. Important! After booking, include your flight details in the “Special requests” section, specifying the date, airport, flight number, and arrival/departure times for both legs of your trip. If you haven’t booked your flights yet, please mention that in this section. If you also plan to extend your stay in Lapland beyond the nights spent with us and still wish to use the rental car, then please also mention that as part of the “Special requests”.
